We are two surfers who have been surfing in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles since childhood. Through years of firsthand experience, we have discovered that certain changes in conditions could affect whether the day will be average or perfect at our local breaks. The awareness of our knowledge about the breaks would outperform the predictions of many surf forecast systems, and it enabled us to catch good surf on what was predicted as bad days.
From there, we developed our own surf forecast for our favorite spots in order to get more accurate and local surf information for the Palisades-Malibu area. We aim to give local surfers access to more precise surf data so that they could focus on catching the waves rather than checking out the surf forecasts.
